Thanking Cub Scout Pack 22
/From the Soup Kitchen Ministry.
Dear Parish Family,
We are so impressed and grateful for Ted Lawless's Cub Scout Pack 22. As we all endure this record cold weather with the blessings of our warm homes, all St Thomas parishioners are praying for our neighbors who are going without what they need.
The Scouts found a way to help in a tremendously meaningful way. The Cub Scouts lovingly packed 100 Valentine's Day bags and collected warm clothing and delivered them to the St. Augustine's soup kitchen on one of the coldest days of the year. Our parish is thankful for our Cub Scouts and for Ted for leading them in such an important service to our community.
Joanne Hand collected an indescribable amount of childrens' and adults coats, gloves, hats and warm clothing, and 10 pairs of Men's Shoes all donated by our St Thomas parishioners. She hand delivered over 23 large bags! Joanne also brought much needed recycled meal containers. We thank you for continuing to donate them.
Through your prayers and your donations the STA Soup Kitchen Ministry is able to take impactful action to give some respite to our brothers and sisters in Newark.
The above shows some impressive pictures of God's work in action.
